When work doesn’t pay

With our Making a Living project, we’re exploring how young people cope with making a living. The video above by @Avanti_Europe tells the story of Alexia, a Greek civil engineer who hasn’t been paid for work for the last five years…work that she had to invest in herself.

We often hear of people scapegoating people for being on benefits because they can’t find a job, but why don’t we hear as much about how many employers are not paying their staff and the lack of social protections for employees?

Do you want to find out more about our project on how young people cope with making a living? Would you like to interview people yourself?
