Internship for Administrative Assistant

Administration Assistant (internship) – Rome based

European Alternatives offers a paid internship in Administration in its Rome office. The internship would benefit a young graduate looking to start a career in administration, EU project management, finance and book-keeping.

Overall job purpose:
Ensuring general support to the Administration department

Starting date:
End of August/Beginning of September 2014

Type of contract:
Internship, 5 /6 months – € 600,00 per month

Main tasks:

– Offer support in management of the accounting and supporting documents;
– Maintaining physical and computer files and folders up to date and in order;
– Records of cash and bank transactions for the daily bookkeeping;
– Working with the Administrative Manager in Project reporting;
– Logistical arrangements of events/initiatives in collaboration with Project Managers


– Degree in relevant subject, master preferred
– Previous experience in NGO’s (in bookkeeping, financial reporting and project management would be preferred)
– Fluency in spoken and written English and Italian (other languages would be an asset)
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office
– Ability to work in an international environment and a multicultural team
– Interest in learning sound administrative procedures
– Knowledge of English and Italian fiscal and labor legislation would be an asset
