How are the public policy issues that mobilise young people today dealt with at European level?

This podcast series is designed as an educational tool to help you understand today’s big topics in the context of the European elections.

The episodes below have been produced:

  • On Gender Equality, episode in French.
    With: Laëtitia Caumes (student on gender issues and activist), Dr. Viktoria Showunmi (Associate Professor at the University College London, United Kingdom)
  • On the difficulties of access to housing and gentrification, particularly in the city of Cluj Napoca in Romania, episode in English. Transcript available in French here.
    With: Enikö Vincze (Professor at the University Babeș-Bolyai of Cluj-Napoca and activist for housing rights), Istvan Szakats (president of the Alt Art foundation)
  • On equality, bodies, and, sport, the history of the Olympic Games and their transnational impact on gender stereotypes and exclusions, episode in French.
    With: Assia Hamdi (sports journalist and author).
  • On Migration in the European Union, episode in Spanish. Transcript available in French.

Episodes in production (publication scheduled for the end of September 2024):

  • On the theme of the environment: additional recording and presentation of the podcasts at the 2024 Humanity Festival. (Sunday 15 September, 2pm, on the theme of transnational commitment to climate justice)
  • On the theme of the socio-economic integration of young people: episode currently being edited.

These episodes are intended to be used by teachers and students in European curricula or civic education classes.
