La Scuola di Attivismo Transnazionale è uno spazio riflessivo e orientato all’azione, sia fisico che digitale, che riunisce cittadini e attivisti di diverse discipline per imparare ed esplorare come collaborare al di là dello Stato-nazione.
I dibattiti sul populismo, la crisi della democrazia e il contraccolpo contro la globalizzazione infuriano. Ma poche persone sembrano porre due gruppi essenziali di domande: in che modo lo Stato-nazione sta cambiando e in che modo è stato superato? E quali sono le forme politiche più efficaci per trovare un’agenzia civica in questo nuovo contesto?
Gli Stati nazionali non stanno scomparendo come alcuni teorici della globalizzazione possono aver suggerito in altri decenni, ma non sono neppure le forme politiche migliori per il nostro futuro. Temendo la nostra incapacità collettiva di risolvere le sfide globali, i cittadini si ritirano nel noto contenitore dello Stato-nazione; ma questo non fa che peggiorare il problema. Cosa viene dopo gli stati nazionali e come ci arriviamo?
European Alternatives sta collaborando con un gruppo di pensatori e attivisti di primo piano per lanciare la Scuola per l’attivismo transnazionale, uno spazio di riflessione e di azione, che riunisce partecipanti di diverse discipline per sperimentare ed esplorare come articolare e mettere in pratica una visione radicalmente democratica della politica al di là dello stato-nazione.
