SHAREs è stato un progetto artistico della durata di 20 mesi per sviluppare una collaborazione transnazionale che ha coinvolto persone provenienti da circa 10 paesi europei di diversi settori (operatori culturali, artisti, giornalisti, attivisti, filosofi, studenti…) e per stabilire un dialogo duraturo con paesi non ancora membri dell’UE (Turchia).
Il titolo SHAREs ha due significati diversi, e persino contraddittori, che contengono la complessità della situazione che il progetto intende esplorare; le “azioni” sono le unità uguali in cui le aziende o le società vengono divise e vendute in borsa, mentre allo stesso tempo si riferisce alla pratica della “condivisione”. Quest’ultima, negli ultimi anni, ha acquisito sempre più una connotazione autonoma e nuova che presenta modalità alternative di approccio all’economia e di comprensione del commercio – dal car-sharing al music-sharing, al file-sharing, al file-sharing, … – in modo da proporre modalità innovative di produzione e di consumo collettivo. Il titolo vuole presentare una dicotomia basata sull’idea di un’economia sospesa tra mercati azionari – le cui dinamiche e logiche appaiono inaccessibili alla maggior parte delle persone, anche se i loro effetti stanno diventando estremamente tangibili sulla loro vita – e forme alternative di organizzazione basate sulla solidarietà e su un’idea di ‘commons’ che, anche grazie alle possibilità offerte dalle nuove tecnologie dei media, viene re-inventata e compresa al di là di ogni connotazione ideologica.
In questo contesto, SHARE si concentra sul significato e sul ruolo dell’Informazione come fattore centrale dell’economia contemporanea e che, come l’economia, vive di una tensione tra le narrazioni prodotte dai cosiddetti “media ufficiali” e un numero sempre crescente di cittadini indipendenti che indagano, analizzano, verificano e condividono le informazioni tra loro, in modo da produrre narrazioni parallele e alternative a quella “ufficiale”.
Il progetto prevedeva due momenti pubblici cruciali: una mostra al DEPO di Istanbul dal titolo ‘How to Tell a Story’ e la performance di un balletto radiofonico d’azione collettiva ‘AIRTIME’ nello spazio pubblico di 10 città contemporaneamente come apertura del TRANSEUROPA Festival 2013.
HOW TO TELL A STORY
How to Tell a Story è stata una mostra curata da Emanuele Guidi e Cathy Larqué tra il 12 gennaio 2013 e il 17 febbraio 2013 al DEPO Istanbul.
La mostra ha affrontato il tema di come la narrazione sia passata come disciplina dal marketing al discorso politico all’intero sistema mediatico/news.
La mostra comprendeva opere di Archive con Can Altay, Aleksandra Domanovic, John Menick, Vladimir Nikolic, Dan Perjovschi, Marinella Senatore, John Smith, Imogen Stidworthy e Adam Vakar.
In mostra anche una performance musicale di Timo Rohula, una conferenza di Dan Perjovschi, una conferenza di Chiara Figone dell’Archivio e un dibattito sulla libertà e la censura dei media.
AIRTIME
AIRTIME è stato un balletto radiofonico realizzato attraverso una serie di workshop condotti da LIGNA (Ole Frahm e Torsten Michaelsen) tra dieci artisti:
Anna Hoetjes, Jordi Ferreiro, Joanna Von Mayer Trinidade, Flaviu Rogojan, Kerri Mehan e Alex Ressel, Alexandre Poisson e Alice Lahana, Roman Stetina, Elisa Abela, Nataliya Todorova e Wojiech Tymiki. AIR TIME è stato eseguito in sincronia in tutta Europa il 5 ottobre, giorno di apertura del Transeuropa Festival organizzato da European Alternatives.
