CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS: National Changemakers Training –  Paris, France, 6-9 June

About the event

The training is part of the #SPEAKOUT project, which aims to promote intercultural societies by engaging international youth in local communities to combat stereotypes and disprove misinformation in their environments. To reach that aim, we are organising a series of activities and trainings to empower young people to become changemakers in their communities, including this training.

It will cover actions, strategies and solutions to foster active citizenship and civic engagement. Participants will notably work on co-creating a communication campaign aimed at fostering engagement, activity citizenship and awareness of EU opportunities.

This training will be a full part of the Transeuropa Festival, a transnational artistic, cultural and political festival organised yearly by European Alternatives: this year’s theme is “🔥🔥🔥Margins on Fire🔥🔥🔥” and will focus on the fight for feminism and against anti-gender movements.

The training will gather participants from EA, ESN and other attending organisations, which means that this will be an exciting opportunity to connect with youth workers from across Europe, learn from each other, discover new methodologies and actions to promote European Values, and get inspired to work together to foster intercultural societies.

Who should apply?

We are looking for young activists who have an interest in getting active locally or nationally.

During the training, participants will work on co-creating a communication campaign aimed at fostering engagement, activity citizenship and awareness of EU opportunities. We are therefore looking for participants who have an interest and/or experience in developing such a campaign and who will be able to take part in its dissemination.

Lastly, as the training is integrated within the Transeuropa Festival, whose edition this year will focus on feminism and activism for all those on the margins, we are looking for participants who have a strong interest in getting involved and engaged in these topics.

As this activity is organised in the framework of the Speak Out project, which is co funded by the European Commission under the CERV Programme, only residents of an EU member state and of a country participating in the CERV Programme can apply.
