How can we listen to the water?<br>And, in the current political context: how can we connect the waters of Seine-Saint-Denis with Palestine?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Context<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Inspired by hydrofeminist arts, the global movement for the rights of nature, artivism, ecological urbanism, and the Flotilla for Palestine, this residency will explore water as a symbol of <strong>transspecies and transnational solidarity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From Bobigny to the Mediterranean, from Seine-Saint-Denis to Palestine, water connects and crosses our beings and our struggles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rooted in Bobigny, the residency invites participants to reflect on their relationship \u2014 and that of local inhabitants \u2014 with water:<br>\ud83d\udca7 How is it perceived today?<br>\ud83d\udca7 Do we still maintain a living bond with water?<br>\ud83d\udca7 How can we give it a voice?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Echoing ecological thinkers who affirm that <em>\u201cwe defend best what we love,\u201d<\/em> artists will be asked to revive this connection, while opening a critical space on inequalities and conflicts over the control of water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Expected Outcomes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The creations will take the form of <strong>visual elements<\/strong> for use in solidarity campaigns in public space, and possibly a <strong>performance<\/strong> developed through artivist practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The results of the residency will be presented in public spaces and during a public event on <strong>11 December 2025 in Aubervilliers (Seine-Saint-Denis).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who we are looking for<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We seek <strong>3 artists<\/strong> working in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Graphic Design<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visual Arts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Artists should be curious about discovering artivism (art + activism) and open to <strong>collective creation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udc49 The 3 selected artists will collaborate to combine their knowledge and practices, and produce:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A <strong>public collage campaign<\/strong> in Bobigny<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An optional <strong>performance<\/strong> during the public event on 11 December 2025.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Residency Programme<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Day 1<\/strong>: Arrival &amp; introduction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Day 2<\/strong>: Training in cooperation &amp; artivism<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Day 3\u20134<\/strong>: Research &amp; collective creation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Day 5<\/strong>: Conclusions &amp; next steps<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What\u2019s included<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Shared accommodation in Bobigny (with local artists\/activists)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collective meals provided<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Travel and food costs covered<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fee: <strong>\u20ac400<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Training in artivism and socially engaged arts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Deadline:<\/strong> Sunday 12 October 2025 (midnight)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Apply via<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/nXoJew5csT3fpduL6\">this form<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Application must include:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Portfolio \/ CV<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Motivation letter (1 page) <em>or<\/em> a short video (a few minutes)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u26a0\ufe0f Priority will be given to artists based in Seine-Saint-Denis and\/or those who have previously developed artistic practices related to water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udce2 Results announced around <strong>22 October 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\ud83d\udccd Bobigny, \u00cele-de-France\ud83d\udcc5 17\u201321 November 2025 REGISTER HERE The Questions How does water, from one shore to another, flow through our lives and struggles?How can&hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":8,"featured_media":29724,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[20,22],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-29723","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-art-and-culture","category-transnational-activism"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v24.6 -
