{"id":29603,"date":"2025-09-03T09:53:02","date_gmt":"2025-09-03T07:53:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euroalter.com\/?p=29603"},"modified":"2025-09-03T12:51:59","modified_gmt":"2025-09-03T10:51:59","slug":"mooc-launch-youth-democracy-technology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euroalter.com\/it\/mooc-launch-youth-democracy-technology\/","title":{"rendered":"MOOC Launch: Youth, Democracy &amp; Technology\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We\u2019re launching a new online course: <br><em>Youth, Democracy &amp; Technology: Participatory Approaches for Critical Consciousness<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1500\" height=\"844\" src=\"https:\/\/euroalter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/mooc_WEb2-1500x844.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-29605\" srcset=\"https:\/\/euroalter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/mooc_WEb2-1500x844.png 1500w, https:\/\/euroalter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/mooc_WEb2-1024x576.png 1024w, https:\/\/euroalter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/mooc_WEb2-600x338.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/euroalter.com\/projects\/critical-change-labs\/\">Critical Change Labs (CCLabs)<\/a> project announces the launch of a free <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-4-color\">Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), <em>Youth, Democracy and Technology: Participatory Approaches for Critical Consciousness<\/em><\/mark>, available on<a href=\"https:\/\/digicampus.fi\/course\/view.php?id=5919\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> DigiCampus<\/a> from 3 September 2025.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At a time when only 38% of young Europeans believe voting is the most effective way to have their voice heard<sup data-fn=\"3f728798-c05d-4664-8765-cd4ec092ba5e\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"3f728798-c05d-4664-8765-cd4ec092ba5e-link\" href=\"#3f728798-c05d-4664-8765-cd4ec092ba5e\">1<\/a><\/sup>, and nearly half report engaging in petitions or social movements, the new MOOC provides participants tools to strengthen youth participation and reimagine democracy in the digital age.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The course explores <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-4-color\">how young people can actively shape democracy<\/mark> in their everyday lives, both online and offline, and provides educators, youth workers, activists, and students with practical methods to nurture <em>critical literacy<\/em> and <em>critical consciousness<\/em>.
