The monthly salary will be \u20ac 3.000 gross. The position starts in June 2024 and is initially limited to 1 year until June 2025. An extension is desired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ABOUT EUROPEAN ALTERNATIVES &amp; THE SCHOOL OF TRANSNATIONAL ORGANIZING<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>European Alternatives is a transnational non-profit organisation working closely with grassroots initiatives to imagine, demand, and enact democracy, equality, and culture beyond the nation-state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>European Alternatives Berlin Hub is running the \u201cSchool of Transnational Organizing,\u201d a grassroots school where everyday people, social movement builders, trade union organizers, migrant workers, climate justice activists, community artists as well as marginalized communities meet to learn the tools and skills to master the lost art of organizing solidarity and together shape the landscape of what we think is possible. With a wide community of trainers, facilitators, and educators, we inspire, train, and support new popular pioneers, organizations, and movements to spread political hope, courage, and joy in their countries, cities, and communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WHO WE SEARCH FOR<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your Profile<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Deep interest in migrant rights, workers\u2019 rights, and climate justice organizing and education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in drafting funding applications, managing grants, and maintaining relationships with institutional funders and foundations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Desire to help the organisation achieve financial sustainability and growth through identifying new funding and development opportunities for new income streams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate the organisation&#8217;s mission, values and fundraising needs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professional fluency in English and German (C1), with excellent oral and written proficiency in both languages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Your Tasks and Responsibilities<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Managing our fundraising calendar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Establishing and maintaining relationships with existing and potential funders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drafting and coordinating funding applications for public and private grant programmes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinating grant agreements, budget changes, and payment requests<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supporting with the annual financial planning and fundraising, as well as the team\u2019s budgeting, controlling, and reporting processes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supporting the Monitoring, Evaluation &amp; Learning efforts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Managing projects financially in collaboration with the project manager(s)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drafting and submitting financial and narrative reports and documentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Administering donations and donors, as well as supporting EA\u2019s association members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WHAT WE EXPECT<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Essential Requirements<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Two years of professional experience in non-profit fundraising<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good communication and relationship-building abilities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of fundraising principles, best practices, and legal compliance related to fundraising activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to balance priorities and manage tasks independently<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability and willingness to work as a member of a team with people of different backgrounds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Impartiality, fairness, and the ability to respect confidentiality<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Desirable Skills<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Existing network and relationships with institutional funders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in activist or organizing in migrant, labour, and\/or environmental justice movements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in other languages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WHAT WE OFFER<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You will be part of a team that supports each other and is committed to an Organisational Works Agreement that protects our occupational health and safety.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Office and remote work is flexible<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At 30 hours per week: \u20ac 3,000 gross monthly salary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>30 days of annual holidays plus 5 days of educational leave<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perspective for future unlimited employment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">HOW TO APPLY<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>European Alternatives is an equal opportunities employer.
