{"id":1809,"date":"2012-09-11T12:35:57","date_gmt":"2012-09-11T10:35:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euroalter.local\/news\/final-consultation-on-new-ea-constitution\/"},"modified":"2012-09-11T12:35:57","modified_gmt":"2012-09-11T10:35:57","slug":"final-consultation-on-new-ea-constitution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euroalter.com\/it\/final-consultation-on-new-ea-constitution\/","title":{"rendered":"Final consultation on new EA constitution"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/euroalter.com\/images\/article_uploads\/EAbigENGrgb.jpg\" style=\"width: 460px; height: 195px; \" \/><\/p>\n<p> Faced with an increasing crisis of democracy in Europe, European Alternatives is conducting a re-organisation of its internal functioning to turn itself into an ever more democratic citizens&#39; movement capable of working at transnational level with new forms of direct participation and involvement.<\/p>\n<p> European Alternatives seeks to promote alternative forms of transnational political subjectivity and collective cultural and political action. European Alternatives sees itself as an experiment in the construction of a participatory and democratic transnational actor in Europe.<\/p>\n<p> To this end,\u00a0 following a consultation with <a href=\"https:\/\/euroalter.com\/network\/join\/\">members<\/a> through a general online survey, a focus group of a sample of activists, and a consultation with staff, we have drafted a reformed democratic Constitution for the organisation, better clarifying decision-making structures and empowering the membership to control the course of the organisation.<\/p>\n<p> The first draft of the constitution has been commented on my members and local groups over the Summer, leading to a second version being drafted.
