Annual Report 2012-2013

Screen Shot 2016-02-23 at 14.35.44For the first time in 2011 and 2012, European Alternatives reached out beyond the borders of the European Union. Underlying this approach is the idea that Europe cannot be understood in isolation, but should be seen in relation to the other regions of the world. In 2011 and 2012 EA focused part of its activities beyond the frontiers of the EU with the project Transnational Dialogues bringing together Chinese and European young artists, scholars, and researchers around a series of core topics for exchange of experience and ideas. European Alternatives is increasingly focusing on collaboration with third-countries in developing programs to empower civil society in democratization processes, particularly through the engagement of representatives of the cultural and media sector. This is planned to continue throughout 2013.
