{"id":19612,"date":"2020-11-18T16:53:17","date_gmt":"2020-11-18T15:53:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euroalter.local\/?p=19612"},"modified":"2020-11-19T11:09:25","modified_gmt":"2020-11-19T10:09:25","slug":"researcher-berlin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euroalter.com\/fr\/researcher-berlin\/","title":{"rendered":"We are looking for a researcher to work with us on solidarity in Berlin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">European Alternatives is recruiting a Researcher for a three year contract (January 2021 \u2013 December 2023) to conduct research projects into European solidarity in the Berlin office of European Alternatives (EA Berlin e.V.).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project involves running surveys and focus group work with activists in Poland, Germany and Italy to investigate the drivers and brakes of different kinds of solidarity in Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The candidate needs to be fluent (ideally native speaker) in German. The position is part time, 3 days a week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Concretely the role will involve:<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Research and project management<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coordinating research questions and methodologies with the team at the University of Siegen;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Organizing round table discussions in Poland, Germany and Italy;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Drafting research reports based on the discussions;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Organizing a final scientific conference in Berlin with the University of Siegen to present results;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Managing temporary research assistants in Poland and Italy;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Project financial management including keeping correct track of expenses and reporting obligations as part of the grant.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, the position includes strategic and administrative tasks for the management of EA Berlin e.V., including coordinating with other staff across Europe and basic bookkeeping and financial management<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The researcher should represent EA Berlin publicly at events and in the media and contribute to actively building the profile of EA in Germany and Europe-wide.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline for application is 27th November, 2020.
