{"id":1602,"date":"2020-02-28T12:36:37","date_gmt":"2020-02-28T11:36:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euroalter.local\/?p=1602"},"modified":"2020-02-28T12:37:13","modified_gmt":"2020-02-28T11:37:13","slug":"1602-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euroalter.com\/fr\/1602-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Contributions for the final conference of Co-Creation"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Call for Contributions for the final conference of Co-Creation!<\/h4>\n<h4>We welcome contributions in a variety of formats, including papers, presentations, videos, performances, workshops and alternative formats.<\/h4>\n<p>Co-Creation has become increasingly popular in recent years as a concept, method and policy tool.\u00a0 A key factor in the rise of Co-Creation is its potential in breaking down boundaries, between different parts of the city, between different groups within cities, between different parts of the world, between disciplines and between different practices. At the same time Co-Creation has been increasingly questioned in terms of encouraging co-option by the state and cultural imperialism.<\/p>\n<p>To mark the end of a four year EU project on Co-Creation in marginalised urban areas, the School of the Built Environment at Oxford Brookes University is organising a two-day interdisciplinary conference bringing together academics, community representatives, NGOs and urban and cultural practitioners to explore the possibilities and limitations of Co-Creation in challenging such boundaries.<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for contributions which explore the varied and contested aspects of Co-Creation. Suggested themes are included below. However we would also welcome contributions on other topics.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Defining and Redefining Co-Creation<\/li>\n<li>Using Co-Creation to challenge barriers of stigmatisation and marginalisation in cities<\/li>\n<li>Co-Creation; Co-option or Empowerment?<\/li>\n<li>Co-Creation in the global \u2018North\u2019 and \u2018South\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Co-Creation Inside and Outside the State<\/li>\n<li>Co-Creation and research; challenging university\/community boundaries<\/li>\n<li>\u201cPostcards from\u2026.\u201d City and Community Stories on Co-Creation<\/li>\n<li>(Co)-Creative methods and practices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We welcome contributions in a variety of formats, including papers, presentations, videos, performances, workshops and alternative formats.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please submit your abstract to sbrownill@brookes.ac.uk to include the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Title<\/li>\n<li>Author and affiliation<\/li>\n<li>Contact information<\/li>\n<li>Abstract (max 300 words)<\/li>\n<li>Up to 5 key words<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The deadline for receipt of abstracts is\u00a0<strong>17th April 2020.<\/strong>\u00a0A review of abstracts will be completed by the\u00a0<strong>end of April 2020.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The conference is free to attend. The organisers will support the travel and accommodation of one early career researcher and one community-based artist or urban practitioner.
